Removing The Trauma Mask

Updated: Sep 12, 2023

Trauma is something that so many have experienced in their lifetime. Whether it is in childhood or later on in life by interactions with others, or life events that we have no control over. When these events happen in our lives, we tend to allow them to manifest into something greater that hinders us from living happy, healthy, and productive lives. It also helps us to push these feelings down that continue to have a hold on us. We try to hide our deepest hurts behind the mask. The trauma mask keeps us bound to old patterns of thinking, holding us hostage to old hurts and keeping us from seeing what we truly need to see. How to remove this mask? It takes courage, vulnerability, and a willingness to admit that help is needed to navigate through this process. Give therapy a try! You don't have to continue to live a life that is not fulfilling. Remove the mask and get back to living or start living the life that you deserve instead of hiding who you really are!
